Thinking Outside the Jar: Unique Food Preservation

In the height of the season, it can be exhausting and HOT to can the abundance of produce from your garden. In this half-day class Annie will teach you other options for preserving what you grow through air/oven/dehydrator methods. We will work on drying leafy greens, beetroot and other vegetables, as well as some wild edibles (as available) to make shelf-stable smoothie supplements and seasoning mixes and incorporate these into a couple of dishes for sampling. We’ll discuss other unique dryables to help you get the most out of your harvest and food supply.
