Pickling Beyond the Cucumber

There’s more to pickling than just cucumbers. In this hands-on class students will learn the basics of safe pickling, can a batch of non-cuke pickles, and prepare a small batch of refrigerator pickles. Bring an apron if you wish as well as a small box or basket in which to carry home a few jars of finished product. $35 UEC members/$40 non-members.
