Pickling Beyond the Cucumber

In this hands-on canning class, Annie will guide you through the process of safe hot-water bath canning to make your own pickles using seasonal fruits and vegetables beyond just cucumbers. Learn how to tell if an old recipe meets today’s safety standards, how to set up your home-canning tools and equipment for success, and how to efficiently and safely can the delicious foods of the season. Participants will take home preserves and recipes. Bring an apron if you wish. Please register by August 16.
