National Day of Service: Family Soup Making

Monday, January 18, 2016 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am CST

$18
Family Soup Making

This is the first of our new “No-School Days Family Cooking Classes” on no-student attendance days at Milwaukee Public Schools.

Join us for this all-ages soup-making lesson that doubles as a service opportunity. Learn to make two different vegetarian soups from scratch (a broth-based soup and a pureed soup). We will make large batches of both soups. The class will culminate with soup and homemade bread for lunch and the remaining soup will be delivered to a local meal program. Recipes are included in the handout. Individuals are welcome, but children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Please register by January 15.

$12 members, $18 non-members for individuals. $22 members family maximum, $34 non-members maximum.
