Books and Young Cooks Summer Cooking Camp

Monday through Wednesday, June 20-22, 9:30-11:30 AM
This three-day series will introduce young cooking enthusiasts to simple recipes and techniques they can use to create their own meals and snacks at home. We’ll begin with a story relating to each day’s topic then cook from scratch with basic tools and interesting ingredients. They’ll be amazed at what they can prepare even without a stovetop or oven.
Sign up for all or any of these FREE hands-on classes. Please register as part of the St. Francis Summer Reading Program, starting Thursday, June 9 at 3:30 p.m. Limit of 8 children for each day.
Parents are welcome, but not required to attend. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies.

Tuesday, June 21: Pancit, Traditional Filipino Noodle Dish (Cora Cooks Pancit by Dorina K. Lazo Gilmore)
Wednesday, June 22: No-Bake Sweet Potato Pie (Sweet Potato Pie by Kathleen D. Lindsey)
