“Eat your darky leafy greens” is a commonly heard phrase among health enthusiasts. But whether you’re 3 or 93, greens may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think “delicious.” In this one-hour demonstration, Annie will discuss different varieties of leafy greens—including what to look for at spring and early summer farmers’ markets—and how to prepare them for maximum flavor and nutrition. You’ll get to sample: Kale Salad with Almond Butter, Sharp and Sweet Spring Salad with Watercress and Bok Choy, Simple Sauteed Beet Greens, Creamed Collards, and Green Smoothie.
